Name: Sharon Newton

Age: 16

Training: Administration Apprentice

Sharon excels to make dreams a reality

Sharon has recently been employed as an administration apprentice in the Funded Learning department at Develop where she has been given hands on experience in the office, along with training provided by the company.

Sharon chose to sign up to the Apprenticeship programme because she wanted to gain valuable experience as well as qualifications. This is something that solely going to college can not offer.

'The programme offers me the opportunity to work with a range of different people and gives me first hand knowledge on conducting a wide range of administrative tasks which I find very challenging and rewarding.' Sharon Newton, Administration Apprentice.

Sharon enjoys the variety that the Apprenticeship offers. It has helped her to develop her skills and knowledge and encouraged her to think about her future. She has decided, upon completing the Apprenticeship that she would like to take steps towards working in Marketing.

Customer Service

The Customer Service Apprenticeship allows you to focus and develop the customer service skills that your business uses most often. This may include giving customers a positive impression, delivering a reliable customer service, developing customer relations and resolving complaints.

Administration

The programme is designed to help apprentices develop office-based skills in a broad variety of units to match your company’s requirements. Upon successful completion of the Apprenticeship all apprentices will be competent in working with people, IT systems, record keeping and meeting support.

Team Leader

The programme is specially designed to provide apprentices with the skills and tools necessary to perform the functions of a frontline leader. They will engage in operational planning, team motivation practices as well as control techniques that will measure the overall effectiveness.

Management

The scheme can help you turn your employees into better and more effective managers. It is designed to help apprentices develop an understanding of the roles and tasks of all levels of management, in functions such as project management, recruiting, controlling and delegating.
