Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical Installations - C&G training course

A 4 day training course for practising 17th Edition electricians, who must have some recent experience of inspection and testing. It is strongly recommended that persons with limited experience, of initial inspection of electrical installations, first undertake the current 17th Edition Regulations course and the Basic Testing Skills course.

What qualifications will you achieve?

  • This course incorporates assessment and certification under the City and Guilds 2394-01 scheme; the Level 3 Award in the Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical Installation.
  • Alternatively delegates can opt for EAL, qualification number 600/4337/4; Level 3 award in the Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical Installation.

How is this training delivered?

  • Delegates are continually assessed, both in written and practical exercises, and there are opportunities to work with a wide range of equipment that will support their knowledge in the field.
  • This course can be intense, it includes evening work, both the reading of course materials and completion of projects.

What do I need to bring with me?

  • Delegates should bring with them a copy of IEE Guidance Note 3.
  • Delegates can bring with them any materials used by their own employer, copies of risk assessments or management systems so that they can see how their materials fit in to the context of the training.
  • Delegates should bring safety boots and safety glasses.
