Pre-requisite/entry requirements

Initial assessment
Learners must have successfully completed the Gas Foundation Managed Learning Programme (GGFO).

Re-assessment
Learners must hold CMA1.

  • Learners will leave with an appreciation of the gas safety regulations, standards and procedures relating to the safe operation and on-going maintenance of gas meters and re-lighting of appliances. This will include products of combustion, ventilation, chimney standards and outlet pipework.

What qualifications will you achieve?

  • Upon successful completion of the course, the learner will be issued with an ERS accredited qualification in Core Domestic Gas Meter Installer.

How is this training delivered?

  • This course will be delivered both in the classroom and within a practical training facility. On the final day learners will receive both a practical and written assessment on the course content.

What do I need to bring with me?

  • Learners must bring their current ACS certificates, Gas Safe card, two passport photos, PPE and tools.
  • All reference materials will be provided.
