Core Emergency Service Provider (CESP1)
Course overview
CESP1 is a Core ACS qualification for Emergency Service Providers and suitable prerequisite for all other Natural Gas ESP & Meter Installer assessments.
This course provides training and assessment of gas safety competence in emergency service gas work.

Pre-requisite/entry requirements
Sometimes training is required as a pre-requisite to ACS initial assessment e.g. a Qualification or Managed Learning Programme, see Guidance Note 8.
When ACS pre-requisites have been attained, training is not compulsory prior to ACS assessment.
Re-Assessment - CESP1 or CMA1 (Candidates holding CMA1 may undertake CESP1 Re-assessment and vice versa).

What do I need to bring with Me?
- Proof of ID.
- Current ACS Certificates.
- Gas Safe Card.
- Two passport photos.
- PPE and any preferred tools.
All reference materials will be provided.
How is the training delivered?
The training is delivered on the first 2 days by a combination of theoretical and practical sessions.
The assessment is split into 3 areas, Theory - multiple choice questionnaires (both open and closed book), Practical Observations and Practical Assessment Workbook Scenarios. Candidates must achieve a pass in all 3 areas.
Qualifications available
Upon successful completion learners will be issued with an NICEIC accredited qualification in CESP1. Gas Safe Register will be notified of all certification results by NICEIC allowing the individual or employer to apply for Gas Safe Registration.
