A 5 day training course for mechanical and electrical personnel who have, or are about to be given, responsibility for the supervision of the operation and maintenance on boiler house installations. The boiler house management training course is also relevant for prospective AP's prior to attending the following courses; Authorised Person: Mechanical or Authorised Persons: Boiler and Pressure Systems.

  • Boiler types and mountings, steam distribution and trapping and boiler hydraulic arrangements.
  • Pressurisation of low-medium-high temperature water systems.
  • Fuel storage and handling, combustion of fuels, heat transfer.
  • Burner types and controls, flue gas analysis.
  • Hot water heating systems and controls.
  • Water treatments, sampling and testing.
  • Practical fault finding and combustion efficiency.
  • Maintenance and operation of systems.

  • You will receive a certificate of attendance from Develop Training Limited.

How is this training delivered?

  • The theory of the boiler house management training course is delivered in the classroom, but there is an emphasis on hands on practical experience with relevant equipment wherever this is possible.

What do I need to bring with me?

  • Delegates can bring with them any materials used by their own employer, copies of risk assessments or management systems so that they can see how their materials fit in to the context of the training.
