A 1 day refresher training course designed to update and refresh the learner's existing knowledge and understanding of the subject. The course will reinforce and further develop understanding of the role, responsibilities and technical factors concerning water systems to enable effective appointment, supervision, implementation and control of risk associated with legionella bacteria.
N.B. This qualification is designed for learners with previous experience and knowledge of water systems and the HSE Approved Code of Practice (L8) Legionella Control - specifically HSG 274 Part 2.
What qualifications will you achieve?
This course incorporates assessment and certification under the City and Guilds Frontline Skills Framework Utilities 5831 scheme unit 400 - Legionella: Role of the Responsible Person/Duty Holder/Landlord.
How is this training delivered?
Training will be delivered in a classroom environment in the form of trainer explanation, group discussions, videos and practical classroom exercises.
Assessment of learning will be based around a single multiple choice assessment at the end of the course.
What do I need to bring with me?
All course material will be provided by the trainer, however, delegates are welcome to bring with them any materials used within legionella management i.e. risk assessments or management systems, so that they can see how their materials fit in to the context of the training.
