A 2 day training course for supervisors and managers of flood defence and flood incident management. The course is relevant to local councils, RNLI, fire and rescue services and any organisations that are deemed to be category 1 and 2 responders to incidents of surface water flooding.

  • This course incorporates assessment and certification under the City and Guilds Frontline Skills Framework Utilities 5831 scheme.

How is this training delivered?

  • The theory of the course is delivered in the classroom, but there is an emphasis on hands on practical training and demonstration wherever possible.

What do I need to bring with me?

  • Delegates should bring waterproof clothing for outdoor demonstrations.
  • Delegates can bring with them any materials used by their own employer, copies of risk assessments or management systems so that they can see how their materials fit in to the context of the training.
