A 1 day training course for supervisors working with flood defences and in flood incidents. The course is relevant to local councils, RNLI, fire and rescue services and any organisations that are deemed to be category 1 and 2 responders to incidents of surface water flooding.

What qualifications will you achieve?

  • This course incorporates assessment and certification under the City and Guilds Frontline Skills Framework Utilities 5831 scheme.

How is this training delivered?

  • The theory of the course is delivered in the classroom, but on this courses there is an emphasis on hands on practical training and demonstration, hence the requirement to bring PPE and waterproof clothing shown below.

What do I need to bring with me?

  • Delegates should bring Personnel Protective Equipment, high visibility vest/jacket, safety helmet, waterproof gloves, safety glasses, waterproof jacket/trousers, safety wellingtons or waders.
  • Delegates can bring with them any materials used by their own employer, copies of risk assessments or management systems so that they can see how their materials fit in to the context of the training.
