A 4 day training course for persons who undertake jetting and CCTV inspections of private sewers and drains (not in the ownership of a sewerage undertaker).

What you will learn

  • The statutory functions required of the sewerage system.
  • Operation and maintenance requirement.
  • Developing customer care and confidence.
  • Safe procedures for setting up and using high pressure water jetting equipment.
  • Knowledge of the Code of Practice as published by the WRc on high pressure water jetting of sewerage systems.
  • The correct procedures for setting up a CCTV camera in a sewer.
  • Accurate recording of defects using a standard coding system.
  • Presentation of a report to a standard format.

What qualifications will you achieve?

  • You will receive a certificate from Develop Training Limited after moderation.

How is this training delivered?

  • Theory is delivered in the classroom but there is an emphasis on hand on practical application of skills.
  • This course is recognised by the Water Jetting Association and approved by the National Sewerage association.

What do I need to bring with me?

  • Delegates should bring a safety helmet, face visor to BS2092 Grade 1, ear defenders, a waterproof suit, safety wellingtons and waterproof gloves safety boots.
  • Delegates can bring with them any materials used in their work, copies of risk assessments or management systems so that they can see how their materials fit in to the context of the training.
