Safe Control of Mains Connections (SCMC) EUSR training course

A ½ day training course for those who hold valid registrations for National Water Hygiene, Utility SHEA (Water) and Network Construction Operations (Water). The course is suitable for operatives, agents, supervisors and frontline managers involved in WIRS water connections including both mains and service laying operations.

Note: This course has strict criteria for eligibility as all delegates must hold valid registrations for National Water Hygiene, Utility SHEA (Water) and Network Construction Operations (Water). A job role must be specified by an authorised signatory of the Water Company or Self Lay Organisation (SLO), this must be registered with Lloyds Register.

How is this training delivered?

  • Theory is delivered in the classroom but there is an emphasis on hand on practical application of skills wherever possible.

What do I need to bring with me?

  • Delegates can bring with them any materials used in their work, copies of risk assessments or management systems so that they can see how their materials fit in to the context of the training.
