Meter Disconnection Training Goes Mobile

Develop Training are pleased to announce the launch of a new mobile assessment training rig specially designed to take training to customers at their site. The introduction of which is down to the hard work of Ken Powell and his team; Ken Jefferson, Richard Billings, Richard James, Rebecca Henshaw and John Lamb.

The mobile unit is equipped to deliver a half-day meter disconnection programme approved by EU Skills and BPEC and after successful completion of the course all candidates will be entered onto the Gas Safe Register.

This is the first programme of its kind to roll out in the UK using the mobile assessment vehicle and can be delivered anywhere as long as there is a classroom available.

The training element of the course is conducted in a room on the client's site followed by the assessment which takes place in the mobile unit. This area is equipped with four meters and allows four delegates to undertake their assessment at the same time.

The course has already been delivered to 200+ Balfour Beatty Team Leaders who all passed the assessment. When asked to provide feedback on the course 100% of the delegates stated that they enjoyed it and would recommend to a friend.

So far the mobile training unit has been a big hit and demand for the programme is rising with another four courses booked for Skanska. There are also plans in the pipeline to provide Limited Scope Metering as part of the mobile offering.
