Unique New Gas Engineering Training Facility Officially Open By IGEM President
Develop Training Ltd are pleased to announce the Official Opening of their New Gas Engineering Training Facility in Huby, near York. The facility is the only training centre in the country that replicates the 'real life' Pressure Control and Network Maintenance environment and will appeal to all Utility Network owners and associated contractors. To mark the occasion the facility was officially opened on Wednesday 7th October by IGEM President, Gordon Davies CEng, FIGEM.

Following the success of Envoy's Jason Morris in becoming the first UK candidate to achieve the GIRS Design Complex of the Gas Network Engineering Management, Fulcrum Connection has just confirmed that it requires 89 candidates to undertake the Open University award, with a value of approximately £290k.

It's good to talk! Developing BT's technical skills
We all take our communications tools for granted, rarely thinking about how the infrastructure is created and maintained. Well, BT said "it's good to talk" and they practice what they preach. Develop's Health & Safety Business Unit Head Andy Johnson, talked to BT and Accenture, BT's Human Resources and training arm about incorporating new competency requirements for operatives using confined spaces. It was a long conversation with excellent results for BT.
