DTL celebrate LRQA success
22 May 2018
Develop Training Ltd (DTL) is pleased to confirm it has achieved transition to the very latest ISO 9001:2015 standard.
ISO 9001 was first introduced in 1987 and is an international Quality Management System (QMS) standard that enables an organisation to continually improve their processes and manage key business risks through the use of carefully themed assessments. It ensures a QMS is in place to certify consistency and improvement; leading to high levels of performance and customer satisfaction. Certified organisations are committed to continuous improvement and are regularly assessed to ensure progress is maintained.
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) reviews standards regularly to ensure that they are relevant to changing market demands. The most recent review of ISO 9001 resulted in significant changes, including:
- A stronger focus on the identification of risk and opportunities
- A stronger focus on senior management inclusion in monitoring and planning the QMS
- A stronger focus on customer satisfaction
Here at DTL, we take quality seriously. That's why we've gone to the effort of upgrading our ISO 9001 accreditation to the latest standard; ISO 9001:2015. DTL's independent assessment was conducted by leading certification body, Lloyd’s Register (LRQA), and demonstrates our commitment to customer service and quality in delivery.
DTL's Head of Audit, Andy Holmes, said,"We're particularly pleased to have transitioned to the ISO 9001:2015 standard first time and well within the timescales for the migration from the old standard. Holding the standard is a mark of our commitment to our customers and our focus on quality. Our next goal is to transition to the new 45001 health and safety standard as a relatively early adopter in the spring of 2019”.
