DTL opens doors in campaign for water sector training
15 August 2018
Develop Training Ltd (DTL) is running a free open day this February to showcase its extensive programme of water systems training courses and innovative training methods.
The event runs at DTL’s Derby training centre, one of seven across England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Meet the trainers and learn about DTL's range of water systems apprenticeships and training
It’s an opportunity for those working in facilities management to meet DTL's trainers and learn about the company’s range of water systems apprenticeships and training. DTL’s practical water training areas will be on show, a key aspect of the company’s service to the water sector, which allows delegates to experience working on real-life systems rather than rely on classroom training alone.
Water systems practical training area
DTL has recently invested in a practical training room at its Derby centre, enabling learners to safely practice and demonstrate their knowledge within a controlled environment. The training room contains various hot and cold water supply systems along with numerous items of equipment; all of which are used as part of various courses' practical assessments.
The room is specifically designed to enable learners to demonstrate their competency and understanding of the training content on courses such as:
Management of Legionella Bacteria in Hot and Cold Water Systems (WS2)
Disinfection of Water Supply Systems in Buildings (WS3)
Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment of Water Systems (WS8)
Thermostatic Mixing Valves (WS13)
Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations (WS14)
Unvented Hot Water Storage Systems (WS10)
Location: Develop Training, Derby Training Centre, Ascot Drive, DE24 8GW
Date: Thursday 7th February 2019
Time: 10:30 - 14:30
Lunch will be provided. Ample car-parking is available on site.
