DTL to support IGEM's Future of Gas Northern Ireland event

20 February 2017

DTL is pleased to confirm it will be supporting IGEM's forthcoming 'The Future of Gas in Northern Ireland' event.

Taking place at Queen's University, Belfast, on 6 April 2017, the event will focus on the latest innovations and technologies helping to advance development in Northern Ireland's gas network.

The Northern Ireland Executive is committed to extending the natural gas network in Northern Ireland where it is economic to do so, working towards a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by at least 35% by 2025.  It is also committed to introduce and support a range of initiatives designed to reduce fuel poverty across Northern Ireland.

Speaking at the event will be Denver Wasson of Phoenix Natural Gas, Jonathan Strain of Firmus Energy and Dave Butler of SGN, all of whom will be discussing the challenges they face in connecting a further 98,000 homes to the natural gas network.

DTL will be on hand to explain how our training capabilities in gas can support industry in the ongoing development of Northern Ireland's gas network.
