Develop Training Ltd (DTL) is pleased to announce the appointment of James Cashley who joins the company as an HV Lecturer.

James is an experienced Authorised Person in HV and LV, and brings with him over 20 years of industry experience. In mid-2009 James was made redundant and went on to form his own electrical contracting company. A few years later he moved into facilities management and then to South Mead Hospital where he was an Authorised Person in HV/LV focusing on mechanical high risk machinery, vertical travel (lifts) and confined spaces.

Experienced Authorised Person

James said, “I’m confident that my years of industry experience will stand me in good stead as I enter this new and exciting chapter in my career. I’m incredibly passionate about increasing safety and awareness within the training industry, and I’m also looking forward to passing on my knowledge and helping people to understand the necessity of safe systems of work.”

New HV training facilities

Operations Director, John Kerr, explains, “James is joining the business at a really exciting time as we have just opened a brand-new HV training area at our Derby site. His industry experience should serve him well and allow him to relate to the delegates on the course in a more practical ‘on-the-job’ way – we’re excited to have him on board.”

Hobbies outside work

Away from work James enjoys walking and sightseeing. He lives in Bristol with his partner, step-children and their much-loved cat, Jinx.
