Famous department store selects DTL for training
07 September 2017
Develop Training Ltd (DTL) is pleased to announce it has been selected by a well-known London department store for the delivery of on-site confined spaces training.
The department store has engaged DTL to deliver low risk confined spaces entry and escape breathing apparatus training to a total of 63 learners at its London premises in Knightsbridge.
The one-day course will see learners gain an improved understanding of the risks associated with entering a confined space and the relevant legislation, awareness of the procedures for entering a confined space and the equipment and systems required to do so safely. They will also gain awareness of using escape set breathing apparatus, how confined spaces breathing equipment works and the checks to be completed in order to keep themselves safe.
Flexible training delivery
To minimise disruption at the store, DTL is adopting a flexible delivery method that includes some out of hours training.
"Our client is proactively safeguarding the welfare of their learners through the delivery of this training," said Daryll Garavan, DTL Delivery Manager for Confined Spaces, Water & Environmental, "Anyone in any industry can be exposed to working in a confined space without even realising it, and it’s important our client's operatives know the dangers so they can properly manage the risks – accidents can happen when workers have little or no awareness."
DTL has published an informative, in-depth whitepaper examining the risks of confined spaces and how to mitigate them. Download it by clicking the button below and following the simple instructions.
