The Industry Skills Forum was created by Develop Training Ltd as a platform for stakeholders from a diverse range of training and industry sectors.

It is intended to foster relationships and to facilitate discussion, initially about the UK Skills Shortage in specific sectors.

The Forum seeks to understand the challenges faced by a variety of industries while facilitating the sharing of knowledge in an attempt to more fully understand and address the issues.

A collective voice

Develop Training launched the Industry Skills Forum to bring together some of the most influential forward thinkers of the UK’s infrastructure industries.

As a group, we are all too aware of the UK’s current skills crisis and, as such, are keen to explore what we can do to help key business leaders address this, whilst also facilitating opportunities to understand and share experiences, innovative technologies and best practice.

Our vision is that the Forum will become a collective voice; a voice that will be identified as a principal driver behind training and development thought leadership.

Cross sector engagement

Despite its infancy, the Forum has seen enthusiastic involvement from key individuals within industry, higher education, accreditation bodies and sector skills councils.
