14 May 2018
A warm welcome to Matondo Kisoka who has recently joined Develop Training Ltd (DTL) as a Maintenance Technician, based in Derby.
Matondo joins DTL at an exciting time as the company have recently taken on a range of new starters in various roles across the organisation.
Matondo was born in Congo, but moved to Italy when he was 8 years old. In 2014 he successfully completed a Diploma to become a qualified Electrician. Shortly after he and his family re-located to the UK and Matondo began studying the English language at Nottingham College. A few months in he was offered work experience in Frankfurt, Germany before returning to the UK and taking on several other short-term contracts for work experience.
An exciting challenge ahead
“I wanted to join DTL so that I can continue to learn my trade, expand my range of skills outside of electrics and help to keep the Derby site running smoothly. These first few weeks at DTL have been brilliant and I can see that I’m going to have a great challenge ahead of me with the wide range of machinery that needs maintaining on a regular basis”, explains Matondo.
In his spare time Matondo enjoys playing guitar in a gospel band, spending time with his girlfriend and is an avid Manchester City fan. He is also fluent in three languages; English, Italian and French.
