Water Systems Training

As one of the UK's leading training providers we have many years experience in running courses on health and safety water systems including how to comply with legionella legislation.

An employer's duty of care under Health and Safety law incorporates water systems safety. This includes the proper installation, maintenance and monitoring of domestic and non-domestic water services, air-conditioning and cooling towers as well as minimising the risks of legionella, to ensure water quality.

We have the following fully equipped Water Systems Safety demonstration and assessment facilities at selected locations throughout the UK.

  • Legionella Awareness
  • Management and Maintenance
  • Cooling Towers and Air-conditioning
  • Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment
  • Disinfection
  • Unvented Hot Water Systems
  • Water Regulations
  • Swimming Pools

Legionellosis

The presence of legionella bacteria in the water supply is a particular concern. Even if there isn't an outbreak of Legionnaire's Disease (legionellosis), employers can still be prosecuted if the bacteria are detected.

How to deal with the risk

A 'Responsible Person' should be appointed to manage the risk. The HSE Inspectorate, on investigating outbreaks of legionellosis, frequently finds that standards of technical competence are inadequate. Health and safety water systems training is essential.
