The technical complexity of
hospitals means that their staff
need to be trained to a high
standard across a wide range
of disciplines. To help meet
these needs, Develop has put
together a range of courses
for Health Estates covering:
- Electrical Systems
- Operation and Maintenance
of Sterilization Equipment
- Water Systems Safety
- Gas Safety
- Piped Medical Gases
- Mechanical Engineering
We work with over 200 NHS Trusts
and each year our range of health
estates courses broadens.
Those who maintain the vital
(background) services in a hospital
deliver high levels of service
in accordance with strict regulation
and guidance often using HTMs.
Ours training events are run
by experienced engineers and
have been designed to enable
the delegate to understand the
requirements of the relevant
Statutory Regulations and Technical
Memoranda.
CASE STUDIES
Bradford
Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust
- Multi-Skills Technician Courses
Alongside Bradford Teaching
Hospitals we developed multi-skilled
technician courses. During the
two-week courses, training took
place partly in our centre and
partly by equipment specific
on-site, thus ensuring the delegates
were fast-tracked into their
new roles.
Guy's
and St Thomas' - Health and
Safety Updates
Over the last twelve months
Develop and Guy's and St Thomas'
have been working closely to
ensure staff are kept up to
date with the latest health
and safety changes and, where
able, are using industry best
practices. A better-informed
work force is more likely to
understand the problems faced
by management in today's competency-driven
environment.
Cardiff
and Vale NHS Trust, Llandough
Hospital - Low Voltage Competent
Person Training
Llandough Hospital took advantage
of our on-site Competent Person
AP05C course. This course is
designed to help the Authorised
Person (Low Voltage) select
staff with the ability to become
Competent Person to HTM 2020
and to this end, each course
has a multiple-choice question
paper which is marked on-site
and the results given to the
Authorised Person.
