To promote the competent, safe
operation and management of
trenchless technology methods,
Develop and UKSTT have combined
their respective expertise to
develop a training and assessment
scheme for operators, technical
personnel and managers.
The scheme consists of discrete
units of competence which recognise
practical skills, related knowledge
and safety awareness of trenchless
technology methods. Assessment
of competence is carried out
by direct observation in workplace
conditions and/or through oral
or written questions. All the
assessment arrangements used
are approved by City & Guilds.
City and Guilds
Certification
Operatives who are successful
in both the practical assessments
and knowledge tests will receive
a City and Guilds certificate.
Persons undertaking the management
or supervision of units are
only required to undertake essential
knowledge assessments. These
qualifications form part of
the City and Guilds 5831 Utilities
Operations Scheme.

EU Skills to provide training
and assessment for the scheme.

at one of our UK training centres
or at your site to suit your
operational requirements. The
