What you’ll learn on this course
- Relevant legislation and risk assessment.
- An awareness of valves, pumps and pumping systems, refrigeration systems, air conditioning systems, compressed air systems, internal combustion engines.
- An awareness of boilers and associated plant, fuel storage and handling, combustion of fuels, heat transfer. Water treatments, sampling and testing.
- Statutory inspections and safe systems of work.
What do I need to bring with Me?
- Learners can bring with them any materials used by their own employer, copies of risk assessments or management systems so that they can see how their materials fit in to the context of the training.
How is the training delivered?
- The theory of the electrical to mechanical conversion training is delivered in the classroom, but there is an emphasis on demonstration and hands on practical experience with relevant equipment wherever this is possible.
