Course overview

A 1 day training course that teaches learners how to remove a gas meter by disconnection using suitable tools, and making safe by means of earth bonding and LDF at ECV.

Pre-requisite/entry requirements

Learners must hold one of the following core qualifications, or have prior knowledge of the gas industry and hold a relevant qualification:

  • CCN1
  • CESP1
  • CMA1
  • CMA2

Benefits of attending for the learner

  • Learners will leave this course with an appreciation of the gas safety regulations, standards and procedures relating to the safe disconnection of meters up to 16 cubic meters per hour capacity.

  • Learners will be able to safely disconnect a gas meter and discharge their duties in accordance with GSIUR 1998, HSWA 1974 and company procedures.

What qualifications will you achieve?

  • Upon successful completion of the course, the learner will be issued with a Develop Training Certificate of Attendance.

How is this training delivered?

  • Learners will be expected to carry out practical assessments and will receive a short written assessment on the course content.

What do I need to bring with me?

  • Learners must bring their current ACS certificates, Gas Safe card, two passport photos, PPE and tools.
  • All reference materials will be provided.
