Energy & Utility Skills Endorsed Vocational Development Programme for the design of gas networks.
If a learner has limited experience in the field of gas network design it is recommended that they undertake a Gas Network Design Foundation programme and, once completed, learners may then wish to progress to a Gas Distribution for Managers programme to gain more experience in gas networks. Both training programmes are aligned to the specification within Lloyds Register 'Gas Industry Guidance Document' GIG2.

What you’ll learn on this course
- Learners will enhance their skills, knowledge and understanding of gas network design focusing on the requirements to identify the requirements of the client, leading to the creation, completion and evaluation of gas network designs.
What do I need to bring with Me?
- It is recommended that the learner has a basic knowledge and understanding of principles & practices encountered during the development of gas network designs; they will also need to have exposure to at least two design projects that they have undertaken, and two design projects completed by others that they can evaluate. These designs must be complex in their nature to ensure that the criteria can be met against the units undertaken.
How is the training delivered?
- The course is a blend of technical training, independent mentoring and assessment with the learner benefiting from direct and remote contact with industry experts.
Qualifications available
- An Energy & Utility Skills card in Gas Network Design which will also be listed on the EUSR database.
- On completion of the course learners will be sent a virtual EUSR card to their mobile phones. Therefore a mobile phone number must be provided on the day. Hard copy cards, if required, must be requested prior to course delivery and will incur additional fees.
