What you will learn

  • To firstly seek out mechanical aids to assist with movement of objects in accordance with the Manual Handling Regulations.
  • Understand how lasting damage can be caused to the lumber region of the back, and other parts of the spine.
  • Learn how to prevent injuries to self and others.
  • Demonstrate correct lifting and moving techniques via a practical assessment.
  • Complete a multi-choice assessment to confirm understanding of what has been taught.

What qualifications will you achieve?

  • The successful candidates will receive an EUSR card for Manual Handling.

How is this training delivered?

  • This is a classroom based course, it will include slide and video presentations; all delegates will complete a short multi-choice written assessment.
  • Office based staff and operatives will complete a practical lifting/handling assessment relevant to their occupations.

What do I need to bring with me?

  • EUSR ID Number if applicable. If you do not possess an EUSR card, please bring two passport size photos with you.
