- Describe the different types of small sewage treatment plant.
- Describe the differences between fixed film and activated sludge type plants.
- Describe the operation of the different types of plant.
- Understand the causes of common faults and know how to rectify them.
- Understand the different types of consents.
- Understand the causes and effects of pollution.
- Describe the importance of the measured parameters.
- Complete the audit form for failing plant.
What do I need to bring with Me?
- Learners can bring with them any materials used in their work, copies of risk assessments or management systems so that they can see how their materials fit in to the context of the training.
How is the training delivered?
- In-centre or Virtual training
- In-centre: Delivery is undertaken in the classroom.
- Virtual: Course is delivered in a virtual classroom (Microsoft Teams or Zoom).
- Learners undertake an end of course examination which is independently assessed.
Qualifications available
- Successful learners will be issued with a Develop Training/British Water certificate of knowledge appreciation. Those wishing to become fully accredited Wastewater Treatment Technicians will be given the opportunity to progress, which includes the need for onsite assessment.
