Legionellosis: Cooling towers, Management and Control training course

Course code: WS6

Course overview

A 2 day training course designed to improve knowledge concerning control of legionella in cooling tower systems. The course is pitched at risk assessors, managers, maintenance/monitoring/cleaning engineers, designers, installers (or anyone else with health and safety responsibility for others involving cooling tower systems). Heavily focused around the HSE's technical guidance document HSG 274 Part 1 - The Control of Legionella Bacteria in Evaporative Cooling Systems - the course aims to increase knowledge and allow more informed decision making concerning multiple factors such as design, operation, water treatment, disinfection, inspection and cleaning etc.

Learners wishing to attend this course should have some industry experience or have been introduced to the subject matter prior (for example, by undertaking our Legionella and ACOP L8 Awareness course). Some basic chemistry knowledge would be an advantage.
