Course overview

A 2 day training course for continuous professional development for experienced CCTV survey team leaders, rig managers and quality controllers responsible for classifying sewer conditions to the WRc Manual of Sewer Condition Classification. Learners will have previously completed the Pipe Sewer Condition Classification course.

Please note that this course is only for those learners with a MSCC 4th Edition certificate. Learners who currently hold a MSCC 3rd Edition certificate must attend the full 5 day OS19X programme.

  • An updated working knowledge of the WRc Manual of Sewer Condition Classification for Rig Managers/Team Leaders, Quality Controllers and those experienced and certified to the WRc Manual of Sewer Condition Classification - 4th edition.

  • Candidates will sit a post course assessment and will be awarded a replacement certificate on satisfactory completion and verification to the standards laid down by the Water Industry in the Manual of Sewer Condition Classification - 5th edition.

What you will learn

  • The Manual of Sewer Condition Classification 5th Edition.
  • How to recognise and code new additions and changes to: overview of Wincan software; continuous defect facility; structural conditions; service conditions; construction features; miscellaneous details.

What qualifications will you achieve?

  • The successful candidates will receive an EUSR card for OS30X – Pipe Sewer Conversion to MSCC 5th Edition.

How is this training delivered?

  • Delivery is undertaken in the classroom.
  • Learners undertake an end of event tests to confirm their understanding of the MSCC 5th edition.
  • Examination papers are moderated by a panel including a representative from the National Sewerage Association. Replacement certificates are awarded to successful learners.

What do I need to bring with me?

  • Learners can bring with them any materials used in their work, copies of risk assessments or management systems so that they can see how their materials fit in to the context of the training.
