What you will learn

  • Understand the requirements of BS EN 805: 2000 / IGN 4-01-03 Issue 2.
  • Using the latest industry pipeline commissioning equipment, learn how to successfully Swab, Flush, Disinfect, Pressure Test and Sample a water main in accordance with Principles of Water Supply Hygiene & Technical Guidance Notes.
  • Calculate and interpret test results.

What qualifications will you achieve?

  • This course incorporates assessment and accreditation under Energy & utility Skills Endorsed Training Programme for Water Mains Commissioning. Candidates will receive an endorsed/updated EUSR card.

How is this training delivered?

  • Theory is delivered in the classroom but there is an emphasis on hands on practical application on a pressurised water ring main.

What do I need to bring with me?

  • EUSR water hygiene card (Blue card).
  • Learners should bring safety boots and safety glasses, overalls and working gloves.
  • Learners can bring with them any materials used in their work, copies of risk assessments or management systems so that they can see how their materials fit in to the context of the training.
