Read our FAQ for Mechanical training, including training course availability.
What courses are offered?
Develop Training offer a wide range of Mechanical courses for Skilled Persons, Persons in Charge, Authorised Persons and Authorising Engineers with a particular emphasis on Safe Systems of Work, the role and duties of persons involved in the safety process and the documentation of safe systems.
Our most popular courses are shown on the website, particularly for delegates working with Boilers, Petroleum Installations, Mechanical Systems, Air Conditioning Systems and Refrigerants. Please call us on 0800 876 6708 if you have a specific requirement that is not shown.
Do you offer specialist training for AP's, Healthcare and Defence?
Yes, we have specialised in this training for many years and a huge number of delegates return to refresh their knowledge with us. Courses meet relevant legislation and where required are tailored to Health Technical Memorandum (HTM) or Joint Service Publication (JSP).
The output from many Develop Training Ltd Mechanical or Electrical courses is an independent recommendation of a delegate's suitability for a particular safety role. AE's have valued our considered opinion for many years and know this recommendation is thoroughly examined and not given lightly.
I need Multi-Skilled employees, can you help?
Yes, we appreciate that there is a shift within industry to multi-skilling and have conversion courses for delegates with an electrical or mechanical background who are seeking to work in both disciplines.
How do I order training from Develop?
This is simple, you can either make your booking or enquiry online, or where our training advisors will advise you on the training solutions we offer. For more complex inquiries we can arrange a discussion with trainers or an on site meeting to look at your particular requirements.
In what areas of the UK can you provide Mechanical training?
Develop Training has purpose built training facilities across the UK. Our York site in particular has a fantastic range of equipment, boilers and pressure systems on which to demonstrate safe systems in a realistic environment.
Can I undertake training at my premises?
Delivery of Mechanical courses can be undertaken on the employer's premises where delegate numbers make this practicable. We would want to visit the site beforehand to become familiar with equipment and be able to incorporate this in to the training materials.
Can you customise Mechanical courses to suit our particular requirements?
Yes - to discuss your requirements please speak to our training advisor team on 0800 876 6708. We can incorporate your companies own policies and/or safe systems procedures and if numbers allow we may be able to tailor delivery to your specific requirements.
If I have a group of people needing Mechanical, can I get a discount?
This may be possible; if you speak to one of our training advisors they will be able to consider your particular circumstances. We don't ordinarily discount our services but do recognise where larger orders are placed with us.
Do I need to bring documentation used in my company?
This not essential, but please feel free to bring any documentation you use as it can help put the course in to context for your own organisation and procedures.
I have paid for a Mechanical course, what happens now?
We will send you a range of documents which will contain: your receipt of payment and invoice, any pre course training notes, a map to the location you have chosen, joining instructions and your delegate booking form. In case you have any questions, we are available on 0800 876 6708 to answer any enquiries or concerns that you may have.
How long does it take for my certificate/recommendation to come through?
