Develop strives to undertake business fairly with honesty and transparency. Develop will comply with all laws, rules, and regulations governing anti-bribery and corruption law, in all the countries where we operate. Develop will not accept any level of fraud or corruption and is committed to ensuring that opportunities for fraud and corruption are reduced to the lowest possible level of risk.

Complaints will be reviewed and investigated thoroughly whilst keeping the complainant updated regularly on the progress of responses to their concerns. Complaints or poor feedback are investigated, escalated if required and resolved with impartiality and a willingness to implement improvements. See the dedicated webpage for further information. Note that there are also well-defined appeals procedures in assessment schemes and opportunities to give feedback following each event.

Develop is committed to delivering training in a socially responsible manner and to reduce wherever possible the impact of our activities upon the environment. The company is committed to eliminating environmental hazards and risks, reducing energy use, reducing or recycling waste and reducing the use of paper and printing. Paper used is from sustainable sources. The company appreciates the likely challenges and changes over the next decade and is already planning ahead to meet them.

Develop believes that the working environment should at all times be supportive of the dignity and respect of all individuals. The company is committed to promoting equality and diversity within the services delivered to learners and also within its workforce. Develop’s aim is for its activities to be representative of all sections of society and to ensure that everyone feels respected and able to give their best. Develop is committed to ensuring that personal and sensitive information (data) it holds is accurate, up-to-date, used only for the purpose intended, securely protected from inappropriate access, and is held no longer than required. The company is registered with the ICO.

Develop is committed to providing safe and healthy working conditions for the prevention of work related injury and/or ill health. The company operates a health and safety management system that is accredited to OHSMS45001. Activities are risk assessed and control measures are discussed with learners before practical activities commence.

Develop is committed to maintaining the security and integrity of information obtained and used in the performance of its activities, both in physical and digital form. The company has an Information Security Management System that is aligned to the requirements of ISO27001 and it is currently working towards that accreditation.

Develop has a zero tolerance to modern day slavery and is committed to identifying and reporting acts of slavery that might be identified within our activities. We will not knowingly contract with any organisation that cannot demonstrate such commitment or transparency in this respect. Whilst training operations may represent a lower level of potential risk our colleagues remain vigilant, receiving awareness training alongside their professional development in safeguarding and diversity.

Develop has a Quality Management System that is accredited to the ISO9001:2015 standard.

Develop is committed to safeguarding all people whom we encounter, particularly learners who are vulnerable or any young person. All disclosures, allegations or concerns relating to abuse, neglect, exploitation or radicalisation are taken seriously and acted upon. The company actively promotes staff training in safeguarding and wellbeing.

Develop Training’s operating strategy, as agreed at Board level, is to utilise ‘services subcontracting’ as part of its delivery model. In order to provide good quality training to ensure that Develop Training is able to effectively respond to employer demand, build collaborative partnerships whilst reflecting local skills priorities and embedding a national employer-led offer Develop Training does subcontract some elements of its apprenticeship frameworks and standards.
