Course to provide knowledge and practical skills to disconnect and remove a gas meter up to 6m3/hr prior to the renewal or relocation of a domestic gas meter.

Pre-requisite/entry requirements
This course supports competencies necessary to disconnect gas meters up to 6m3/hr. This work is not classed as working on the downstream installation.
Learners wishing to undertake this training and assessment must have undertaken our Network Construction Operations Gas Level 2 Induction or already hold an NCO Gas Service Laying qualification.

What you’ll learn on this course
- How to install temporary continuity bonding.
- How to isolate gas supply and appliances.
- How to disconnect components and remove a meter.
- How to cap open ends of meter and internal supply and secure the ECV (Emergency Control Valve).
What do I need to bring with Me?
- Full PPE including eye protection.
- Proof of valid EUSR registration.
How is the training delivered?
The course consists of theoretical & practical training & assessment delivered in centre at a Develop Training venue.
Qualifications available
Upon successful achievement of the qualification, it is registered with the EUSR database for Gas Meter Disconnection.
On completion of the course learners will be sent a virtual EUSR card to their mobile phones. Therefore a mobile phone number must be provided on the day. Hard copy cards, if required, must be requested prior to course delivery and will incur additional fees.
