Course overview

A ½ day training course relevant to persons who will work at height, or may be exposed to working at height, or need an awareness to ensure others are safe e.g. site supervisors and managers. The training is a good foundation for those who will move on to specialist qualifications such as rope work, climbing or the use of mobile platforms etc.

  • Relevant legislation.
  • Hazards and risk control measures.
  • Ladders, step ladders and trestles: checking for defects, tying and footing ladders, using tools and equipment.
  • General access or tower scaffolds.
  • Mobile and suspended access equipment.
  • Working on fragile surfaces; guard rails and harnesses.
  • Protection against falling materials.

What qualifications will you achieve?

  • You will receive a certificate from Develop Training Limited.

How is this training delivered?

  • The course is classroom based, working towards a written assessment at the close.

What do I need to bring with me?

  • Learners can bring with them any materials used in their work, copies of risk assessments or management systems so that they can see how their materials fit in to the context of the training.
