New Beginnings: Lysia Grainger Takes on the Role of Derby Centre Coordinator

   3 August 2023        News

Introducing Lysia Grainger, the latest addition to Marisa Harris’ Training Administration team, taking on the pivotal role of Derby Centre Coordinator. With an impressive background in sales and operations roles, Lysia’s career began in sales at a beauty company, alongside which she simultaneously pursued her college studies.

Her professional journey then led her to a role in patient services, whereby after 5 years she was appointed as Operations Manager at just 22 years old. It was in this role that Lysia encountered one of the most significant challenges in her career, when during a critical systems transition a large proportion of patient’s data was lost. It was during this stressful time that she learnt a wide range of skills in how to address and resolve complex issues, whilst remaining calm under pressure.

As she embarks on her role in Derby’s newly refurbished training centre, Lysia is already embracing her responsibilities with enthusiasm and professionalism as she welcomes delegates and helps to maintain the smooth running of the centre.

Reflecting on her first few weeks in the role, Lysia said, “Everyone has been incredibly welcoming and friendly. They’ve taken the time to show me the different systems and support me, and of course the canteen is a tasty bonus!”

Away from work

Lysia has recently returned from 2 months travelling – she travelled around Australia as well as visiting places including Bali, Rome, Lake Como, and Barcelona. She also enjoys hiking with her dog, listening to podcasts and investing.

Develop extends a warm welcome to Lysia and we look forward to witnessing her flourish in this new role.
