What qualifications will you achieve?

  • This course incorporates assessment and certification under the City and Guilds 6156 scheme (Unit 1).
  • The course also supports registration with SWQR.

How is this training delivered?

  • The theory of our underground apparatus course is delivered in the classroom, but there is an emphasis on locating services in the local vicinity and becoming familiar with the equipment used.
  • The City and Guilds qualification is assessed through written tests and observation of practical exercises.

What do I need to bring with me?

  • Delegates should bring safety boots, eye protection, waterproof clothing and high visibility clothing to use whilst practicing to locate services.
  • Delegates can bring with them any materials used by their own employer, copies of risk assessments or management systems so that they can see how their materials fit in to the context of the training.
